Washer Toss Workshop!

This workshop takes place over two days--September 26th, 5:30-7:30pm and October 3rd 5:30-7:30pm. Please make sure you can attend both before buying a ticket. (minimum of 3 within one week of first session?) Thank you!!

Washer toss is a very addictive lawn game that involves lobbing *tossing* washers into a wooden box affixed with a piece of PVC pipe. In this workshop we will be building a washer toss game set from reclaimed material--mostly pallet wood. While the finished product will be 'naked'-- meaning it won't be painted or sealed for inclement weather–it will be game ready! At the end of the second session, we will talk about the many ways you can stylize your washer toss set.

This is a two part workshop. Each of the two sessions will be two hours in duration over two days. Make sure you can come to both! In the first session we will be learning how to process the reclaimed wood and PVC pipe. Tools you will learn how to use: Measuring Tape, Jointer, Thickness Planer, Miter Saw, and Table Saw. In the second session, we will be learning how to put all the material together. Tools you will lern how to use: Pneumatic Brad Nailer, Bar Clamps, Drill Driver, and Random Orbital Sander. There may be additional tools that we will use not mentioned!

Instructors will teach what each of these tools do, demonstrate safe tool use and help you process and assemble the materials for the washer toss set using those tools! Come learn with us and make something really cool from reclaimed material!!!

When: Tuesdays, September 26th & October 3rd from 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Cost: $100; $75 for DTL members. Includes Ska beer and Skagua (Served at end of 2nd session)

What to bring: Bring some work gloves; we'll have safety glasses and ear plugs

Who: Anyone 18+ (21+ unlocks beer level)
