Become a Member
Sign up and subscribe as a member of the Durango Tool Library to borrow tools from our collection.
Step 1: Create Account
Create an account in myTurn, our catalog system.
You will be prompted to review and sign our Borrowing & Tool Use policy and waiver.
You will be asked to verify your email to complete your account.
Step 2: Subscribe
In your myTurn account, select and pay for a subscription:
Monthly. Cost: $35 / month. Renewal: $25 / month.
Annual. Cost: $230 / year. Renewal: $220 / year.
Step 3: Verify
On your first visit to the Library, bring a photo ID and proof of residency.
Proof of residency can be print or digital, and must have your name and address (matching your account info) with a recent date.

FYI: To become a member, you must be 18 years of age or older and a resident of southwest Colorado.
Borrow Tools
Members of the Durango Tool Library can borrow up to 8 tools for 1 week at a time.
Find what you need
Search or browse the inventory in the tool catalog. Check tool availability. Or browse at the library in person.
Reserve the tools
OPTIONAL. Note the reservation is essentially a 24-hr hold. The pick up date will be set to the current day.
Pick up the tools
Come to the library and take the tools home with you. Keep the tools for up to 1 week.
Return the tools
Bring the tools back by 7pm on the date they are due. If you return tools late, you will be charged $3 / day / tool.

FYI: Please return tools clean, on time, and in good condition. Remember that other members need to use the tools too.
Manage Subscription
You can start and restart your membership subscription at any time through your myTurn account. But your subscription must be active to borrow tools.
Renew
In your myTurn account, navigate to Account > Current Membership.
To renew automatically, select "Enable" for Automatic Renewal.
To renew manually, select "Renew" to make a one-time payment.
Stop
In your myTurn account, navigate to Account > Current Membership.
Set Automatic Renewal to "Disable".
Let your subscription expire.
Restart
In your myTurn account, navigate to Membership Options.
Select and pay for your desired membership subscription.
Enable/Disable automatic renewal.

FYI: Renewal prices only apply to continuing subscriptions. If you stop and restart, you will be charged the initial rate.
Give/Redeem Gift
Gift certificates for the Durango Tool Library can be used towards membership subscriptions, workshops, and merchandise.
Give a gift certificate
You can purchase gift certificates for the amount of a membership subscription or for a custom amount. The gift certificates can be digital or physical.
Physical Gift Card
Come to the tool library in-person. You can pick and pay in person, and we'll provide you with a card to gift.
Digital Gift Card
Click the link below. To keep the gift a secret, enter your email as the recipient as well as the gifter. You will receive the email with the gift certificate code, and you can print or forward the gift when the time is right.
Redeem a gift certificate
You can apply the value of the gift certificate towards your membership subscription or use it for merchandise, events, late fees, and consumables.
Physical Gift Card
Come to the tool library in-person. We'll process the gift certificate for you.
Digital Gift Card
If you received a digital gift card, come to the tool library in person or redeem through your myTurn account. In myTurn, select Redeem Gift Certificate and enter the gift certificate code. You can then use the gift card amount towards a purchase.
